ZIMBABWE COMMUNITY BACKROUND
The Pretoria Zimbabwean Community was formed in 2009 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pretoria, sincere gratitude to Fr Tsuro and Fr Karabo who are the Community Chaplain and Parish Priest respectively. Since its formation, the Community has experienced a vast increase in membership. The mandate of the group among other things is to:
>Build Families, the entire community and society through its social and spiritual activities as we strive to enhance and foster togetherness, charity and development.
>Assist its members to build strong social cohesion and utilise the spirituality of Jesus through faith in action.
The Zimbabwean Community participates actively in all of the Cathedral and Zim Gauteng Community activities. Some of the Spiritual activities that the group is engaged in includes retreats, all night vigils, leadership workshops and outreach charity programmes e.g. visiting and supporting the disadvantaged and the less privileged people around the communities we stay..
